Referral Program Terms

Last updated: October 4, 2026 · Version 2026-10-04

The short version (the full terms below control):

  • A friend who opens a new account with your referral link can get $100 once $2,500 in net goods credits from their packages has cleared, counting credits posted in their first 90 days. You get $100 if the same friend reaches $10,000 in that window.
  • A person on our team reviews every bonus before we pay it. Approved bonuses are added to your Balance as cash. Nothing is owed before then.
  • One person, one account. No bonus is paid between two accounts that share a bank account or a home address.
  • Every time you share your link, say it's a referral link. No spam, no ads on our name, no income claims.
  • Without a Form W-9 on file, referral bonuses are limited to $500 per calendar year.

1. These terms

1.1 These Referral Program Terms (the "Referral Terms") are the rules of the TheBuyerForce referral program (the "Program"), run by TheBuyerForce Inc., a Wyoming corporation ("we", "us", "our"). They add to our Terms of Service. Capitalized words that these Referral Terms don't define (for example Balance, Check-In, Purchase Price and Services) mean what the Terms of Service say they mean.

1.2 If these Referral Terms and the Terms of Service conflict on a Program matter, these Referral Terms control. Everything else in the Terms of Service still applies to the Program, including Section 10 (Balance, holds, reversals, and setoff), Section 21 (limitation of liability) and Section 23 (dispute resolution, arbitration and class waiver).

1.3 You accept these Referral Terms by ticking a box that refers to them. Referrers tick it on the Referrals page before we show them a referral link. Referred Members tick it on our registration page, where it appears as a separate box, unticked, only when a referral code applies; or on the Referrals page when they add a code themselves. That box is separate from the one for our Terms of Service. If you leave it unticked, you can still create your account, but no referral is recorded at sign-up; you can add the code later under Section 6.4. We keep a record of each acceptance: the account, the time, the version, the IP address and the browser. Taking part is optional. Your membership doesn't depend on it.

2. Definitions

  • "Referrer": a member who shares a Referral Link or Referral Code.
  • "Referred Member": a person who opens a new account through a Referrer's Referral Link or Referral Code, and whose referral we record under Section 6.
  • "Referral Code": the eight-character code assigned to a member's account.
  • "Referral Link": a link of the form thebuyerforce.com/r/CODE, where CODE is a Referral Code.
  • "Referral Date": the moment we record a referral. That is normally when the Referred Member's account is created; for a code added later under Section 6.4, it is when the code is added.
  • "Qualification Window": the 90-day period that starts on the Referral Date. The Referrals page shows its exact end date and time in Pacific Time.
  • "Qualifying Volume": defined in Section 7.
  • "Clearing Period": the 30-day period described in Section 7.3.
  • "Referred Member Bonus" and "Referrer Bonus": the bonuses described in Section 8. Each one is a "Bonus".
  • "Program Period": from 4:00 a.m. Pacific Time on October 4, 2026 until 4:00 a.m. Pacific Time on January 5, 2027, unless shortened or extended under Section 17.
  • "Pacific Time": the time in the America/Los_Angeles time zone, including daylight saving time.
  • "Business day": Monday through Friday, except U.S. federal holidays.
  • "Household": people who share a home address.

3. Program Period, locked terms and budget

3.1 Only accounts created during the Program Period can become Referred Members. We record new referrals only while we are accepting them (Section 3.3).

3.2 When we record a referral, we fix to it the Bonus amounts, the volume thresholds, the length of the Qualification Window, the Clearing Period and the version of these Referral Terms then in force (the "Locked Terms"). Later changes to the Program don't change the Locked Terms of a referral already recorded (Section 17).

3.3 The Program has a fixed budget. When the Bonuses we have paid, plus the Bonuses that have qualified and are waiting for review or payment, reach that budget, we automatically stop recording new referrals. We may also stop recording new referrals at any other time. Referrals already recorded are not affected either way.

4. Who can be a Referrer

4.1 To receive a Referral Link, you must:

  • (a) be an individual (a natural person, not a business) who is at least 18 years old and lives in one of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia;
  • (b) have an account in good standing: active, not suspended or banned;
  • (c) have had at least one package checked in and credited to your Balance;
  • (d) have accepted these Referral Terms; and
  • (e) not be an Excluded Person (Section 5.4), and not be named on a U.S. sanctions list, such as the Specially Designated Nationals list kept by the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), or act for anyone who is.

4.2 We check these requirements again before we pay a Referrer Bonus (Section 9.5).

4.3 There is no limit on how many people you can refer. Every Bonus is still reviewed (Section 9), and the annual limit in Section 10 applies.

5. Who can be a Referred Member

5.1 A Referred Member must:

  • (a) be an individual who is at least 18 years old, lives in one of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia, and is not named on a U.S. sanctions list or acting for anyone who is;
  • (b) create a new TheBuyerForce account during the Program Period using Sign in with Google. Accounts created with an email address and password can't be referred;
  • (c) be new to TheBuyerForce: someone who has never had an account with us before, under any email address, including accounts that are closed, inactive or never used. An account that existed before the Program Period began can't be referred, even if it never shipped anything;
  • (d) use, to receive payouts, a U.S. bank account held in their own name; and
  • (e) not be an Excluded Person.

5.2 To decide whether a new account belongs to someone who already has, or had, an account, we compare signals such as: the email address (we treat a Gmail address written with extra dots or a "+" tag as the same address); the devices and browsers used; the bank account; and the account-holder name and mailing address given with the bank details. If we conclude that two accounts belong to the same person, the newer account isn't eligible and the referral is void.

5.3 Each Referred Member can have only one Referrer, and can receive only one Referred Member Bonus.

5.4 Excluded Persons can neither refer nor be referred. They are:

  • (a) our employees, officers, virtual assistants, contractors and others who work for us, and anyone who lives in the same household as any of them; and
  • (b) people whose accounts are connected to a business that buys from us (our wholesale or business customers, including their contacts).

We may mark an account as excluded when we learn of the relationship.

5.5 The Program has one level only. A Referred Member can become a Referrer by meeting Section 4, but nobody receives a Bonus for referrals made by the people they referred.

6. How we record a referral

6.1 Links. When someone opens your Referral Link, we store your Referral Code in a cookie in their browser for 60 days. If they open more than one Referral Link before creating an account, the most recent one counts.

6.2 The code field. Our registration page has an optional "Referral code" field. A code entered there counts as the most recent Referral Link opened.

6.3 When it is recorded. We record a referral when, during the Program Period and while we are accepting new referrals, a person creates a new account by signing in with Google from our registration page, with a Referral Code present under Section 6.1 or 6.2, and ticks the separate box accepting these Referral Terms (in addition to accepting the Terms of Service). If that box is left unticked, or the account is created another way (for example, by signing in with Google from the login page), we don't record the referral automatically. Section 6.4 still lets the new member add it.

6.4 Adding a code later. A new member can add a Referral Code on the Referrals page within 7 days after their account is created, as long as nothing has yet been credited to their Balance and no referral is already recorded for them. They must accept these Referral Terms when they do so. Once the 7 days have passed or the first credit has posted, a referral can no longer be added.

6.5 No changes afterwards. Once a referral is recorded, it can't be moved to a different Referrer, and none can be added after Section 6.4 stops applying. Our support team can't add, change or remove a referral on request. The only exception is a Referred Member's withdrawal under Section 20.6, which ends the referral.

6.6 Limits of tracking. Cookies can be blocked or cleared, and they don't carry over between browsers or devices. We aren't responsible for a referral we couldn't detect for those reasons. Section 6.4 is the way to fix it.

6.7 Codes. Referral Codes are assigned by us and can't be customized. We may deactivate a Referral Code that has been leaked, posted in breach of these Referral Terms or otherwise misused, and issue a new one. Referrals already recorded under the old code stay valid.

6.8 Our records. Whether, when and how a referral was recorded is decided from our system records. You can dispute that under Section 19.

7. Qualifying Volume

7.1 What counts. Qualifying Volume is the total of the following entries in the Referred Member's Balance ledger that are posted within the Qualification Window:

  • (a) credits of the Purchase Price for units checked in against the Referred Member's reservations (deals for gift cards included);
  • (b) credits from exception offers the Referred Member accepted; less
  • (c) reversals and chargebacks of those credits, plus any correction that cancels such a reversal.

7.2 What doesn't count. Settlements for lost packages; goodwill or compensation credits we add by hand; credits that correct a quantity error; fees we charge, such as return processing fees (these neither add to nor reduce Qualifying Volume); Bonuses; coupons; and payouts.

7.3 Clearing. An entry counts only once its Clearing Period has ended. That happens when 30 days have passed since the entry posted and no exception ticket or support ticket about the package or units behind it is still open. The Clearing Period can end after the Qualification Window has closed: entries posted inside the window still count once they clear. Payout plans, holding periods and payout-acceleration coupons don't shorten the Clearing Period.

7.4 What decides the date. The time an entry posts in our ledger decides whether it falls in the Qualification Window. Purchase, shipping, delivery and scan dates don't. For example, a package delivered on day 89 but checked in and credited on day 92 doesn't count.

7.5 When a Bonus qualifies. We check Qualifying Volume once a day. A Bonus qualifies on the day the cleared Qualifying Volume first reaches its threshold, and it then goes to review. An ordinary, non-fraudulent return, reversal or adjustment that posts after that day doesn't undo the qualification.

7.6 Exclusions for misconduct. We may leave out of Qualifying Volume any entry that we reasonably determine came from conduct prohibited by Section 12 or by the Terms of Service.

8. Bonuses

8.1 Referred Member Bonus: $100, when the Referred Member's cleared Qualifying Volume reaches $2,500.

8.2 Referrer Bonus: $100, when the cleared Qualifying Volume of the same Referred Member reaches $10,000. A Referrer Bonus is payable only if the referral is valid and the Referred Member meets Section 5.

8.3 Each Bonus is a fixed amount, paid at most once for each referral. No partial Bonus is paid below a threshold.

8.4 If a threshold hasn't been reached once every entry posted in the Qualification Window has cleared, that Bonus expires and isn't owed.

8.5 Bonuses can't be combined with any other sign-up or referral offer unless we say so in writing.

8.6 The amounts and thresholds in this Section are the Locked Terms for referrals recorded under this version.

9. Review and payment

9.1 Every Bonus is reviewed by a person. Before paying, we check that these Referral Terms are met, using the information described in Section 11 and in the Notice of Financial Incentive (Section 20). We may ask either member for information under Section 13 of the Terms of Service.

9.2 Timing. We complete review within 10 business days after a Bonus qualifies. If we ask you for information, we complete review within 10 business days after you provide it. A pause under Section 9.6 extends these times.

9.3 Payment. An approved Bonus is credited to your Balance as cash and labeled as a referral bonus in your ledger. Once credited, it can be withdrawn like the rest of your available Balance under Section 11 of the Terms of Service (minimum payout, verified U.S. bank account in your own name).

9.4 When a Bonus is earned. A Bonus is earned only when we credit it to your Balance. Until then (while a referral is in progress, has reached a threshold, or is under review or held), it has no cash value, isn't owed to you, and can't be transferred or withdrawn.

9.5 Eligibility when we pay. If a Referrer no longer meets Section 4 when a Referrer Bonus would be credited (for example, because the account has been suspended, banned or closed), that Referrer Bonus is forfeited. The Referred Member Bonus is not affected, as long as the Referred Member meets these Referral Terms. Withdrawing from the Program under Section 20.6 is not a loss of eligibility under this Section: a Referrer Bonus that had qualified before you withdrew is still reviewed and, if approved, paid.

9.6 Pausing payments. If we find signs of abuse of the Program, we may pause the payment of Bonuses while we investigate. A pause doesn't cancel any Bonus. When it ends, we finish reviewing every Bonus that qualified during it.

9.7 Not a payment for goods. Bonuses are promotional payments, not Purchase Price for goods. Where Sections 8 and 15 of the Terms of Service describe payments to you as the purchase price for goods, that description doesn't apply to Bonuses.

10. Annual limit, Form W-9 and taxes

10.1 $500 a year without a W-9. Unless we have accepted a completed IRS Form W-9 from you, the Bonuses credited to you in one calendar year (January 1 to December 31, Pacific Time), as Referrer and as Referred Member combined, can't total more than $500. If a Bonus would take you over $500, we hold the whole Bonus and credit it once we accept your W-9, or as described in Section 10.2. A held Bonus isn't earned until it is credited.

10.2 Sending your W-9, and held Bonuses. When we hold a Bonus, we'll ask you for a W-9 and explain how to upload it securely through a support ticket. Please don't send a W-9 by email. A held Bonus doesn't expire while your account is open. We credit it as soon as we accept your W-9, at any time. If you don't send a W-9, then from January 1 (Pacific Time) of a later calendar year we credit a held Bonus automatically, without a W-9, if the whole Bonus fits within the $500 limit for that year; if you have more than one held Bonus, we credit the oldest first. A Bonus credited this way counts toward the limit, and is reported for tax purposes, in the year we credit it.

10.3 How we use your W-9. We use the information on your W-9 only for tax reporting and backup withholding. We don't use it to look for duplicate accounts or in fraud reviews.

10.4 Tax forms. Bonuses may be taxable income to you. If the Bonuses and other reportable payments (other than payments for goods) that we make to you in a calendar year reach the IRS reporting threshold, currently $2,000, we'll file Form 1099-MISC with the IRS, and with states where required, and give you a copy. We may withhold tax where the law requires it, including backup withholding.

10.5 No tax advice. We make no representation about how Bonuses are taxed. You're responsible for reporting and paying your own taxes. Ask your own tax advisor.

11. Household and shared-identifier rule

11.1 Our Terms of Service allow one account per person (Section 2). The Program relies on that.

11.2 We don't pay either Bonus for a referral in which the Referrer and the Referred Member:

  • (a) use the same bank account for payouts (the same routing and account number); or
  • (b) share a home address. For this rule, we use the mailing address given with the bank details for payouts.

This applies even when the two are different, real people, such as spouses or roommates. Bank details added after the referral is recorded are checked at review.

11.3 Sharing an IP address alone doesn't make a referral ineligible. It does trigger extra review, and we may ask for information.

11.4 Other signals, such as the same device or browser, linked email addresses or matching names, can show that two accounts belong to one person. When they do, Sections 5.2 and 12 apply.

12. Prohibited conduct

12.1 You may not, yourself or through anyone else:

  • (a) refer yourself, including through a second account, an alias email address, or an account opened in someone else's name or with someone else's details;
  • (b) buy, ship or submit tracking numbers for a Referred Member's account; let anyone else do that for your account; or move volume you would otherwise ship under your own account into a Referred Member's account;
  • (c) take part in referral rings or swaps, meaning arrangements in which a group creates or refers accounts among themselves to collect Bonuses rather than for each person's own buying;
  • (d) use bots, scripts, emulators, VPNs, proxies or similar tools to create accounts, generate clicks, or hide who you are or where you are;
  • (e) send spam or unsolicited bulk messages; post where a site's or community's rules don't allow it; or contact people whose details you bought, scraped or collected without their permission. Your messages must follow the law, including the CAN-SPAM Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act;
  • (f) bid on "TheBuyerForce", our other names or marks, or misspellings of them, in paid search or any other advertising; or use our names, logos or marks in ads, domain names, app names or social media handles;
  • (g) present yourself as TheBuyerForce, as our staff or as an official TheBuyerForce channel, or create pages, accounts or messages that could be mistaken for ours;
  • (h) when promoting the Program, make false or misleading statements about TheBuyerForce, the Program, Bonuses or their conditions, including mentioning a Bonus amount without its conditions. This doesn't limit honest reviews or opinions about us;
  • (i) make earnings or income claims: statements about how much money anyone will, can or did make through TheBuyerForce, including income figures, "typical" results, or screenshots of a Balance or payout presented as what others can expect; or
  • (j) use the Program in any other way that breaks these Referral Terms, the Terms of Service or the law.

12.2 You may share your Referral Link in your own posts on forums, Reddit, Discord, social media and referral threads, and with people you know, as long as you follow each platform's rules and Section 13.

12.3 If we reasonably determine that someone engaged in conduct this Section prohibits, we may deny or forfeit Bonuses not yet credited, claw back credited Bonuses under Section 14, deactivate Referral Codes, remove the member from the Program, and use any remedy available under the Terms of Service.

13. Telling people you're rewarded (disclosure)

13.1 You can receive a Bonus when someone you refer qualifies. U.S. law (including the Federal Trade Commission's guides on endorsements) requires you to tell people that clearly. Every time you share your Referral Link or Referral Code, or recommend TheBuyerForce in connection with the Program, your disclosure must:

  • (a) be in the same post, message or video as the link or recommendation, close to it, and visible without clicking "more" or opening your profile;
  • (b) use plain words such as "referral link". "Affiliate link" alone, a hashtag tucked at the end, or "link in bio" is not enough;
  • (c) in a video, livestream or audio, be both spoken and shown on screen; and
  • (d) whenever you mention a Bonus amount, include its main conditions: the volume threshold and the 90-day window.

13.2 Approved disclosures. You can use these as written:

  • "Referral link: you get $100 after shipping $2,500 within 90 days; I get $100 if you reach $10,000. Terms apply." This is the text our Copy message button gives you.
  • Where space is very short and you don't mention an amount: "My referral link (I get a bonus if you join and qualify)."

13.3 Monitoring. We may review public posts, ads and pages that mention TheBuyerForce or include your Referral Link or Code. We may ask you to correct or remove content, and we keep records of what we find. If you don't fix a problem promptly after we ask, or if the problem is serious, we may deactivate your code, remove you from the Program, and forfeit Bonuses connected to the non-compliant promotion.

13.4 You speak for yourself. You are responsible for what you post. You are not our agent, employee or partner, and you can't make promises or commitments on our behalf.

14. Denial, clawback and setoff

14.1 Denial. We may deny a Bonus that hasn't been credited if we reasonably determine that these Referral Terms aren't met.

14.2 Clawback. We may reverse ("claw back") a credited Bonus only in these cases:

  • (a) Referred Member Bonus: if the Referred Member wasn't eligible, the referral wasn't valid, or the Referred Member engaged in conduct prohibited by Section 12 or by the Terms of Service in connection with the Program;
  • (b) Referrer Bonus: only if (i) the Referrer took part in prohibited conduct connected to that referral, or (ii) within 12 months after the Referrer Bonus was credited, we determine that the Referred Member was the Referrer's own account or was not a separate, real person.

14.3 No clawback for ordinary returns. We won't claw back a Bonus because of an ordinary, non-fraudulent return, reversal or adjustment of an entry whose Clearing Period had already ended.

14.4 How a clawback works. A clawed-back Bonus is an amount you owe us, and Section 10.3 (Setoff) of the Terms of Service applies to it. We record it in your ledger as a referral bonus reversal and deduct it from your Balance. If your Balance is smaller than the amount, your Balance becomes negative by the difference. A negative Balance is a debt you owe us, and we may set it off against amounts we owe you later. We'll tell you by email which Bonus we reversed and the reason, and you can dispute it under Section 19.

15. Bank account changes after a Bonus

For 30 days after a Bonus is credited to you, you can't add, change or remove the bank account on your account. If your bank closes your account during that time, contact us through the Support Center.

16. What a Referrer can see

16.1 For each Referred Member, the Referrer sees:

  • (a) the Referred Member's first name and last initial;
  • (b) the referral's stage: Signed up, Shipping, Reached $2.5K, Qualified, Under review, Paid, or Not eligible; and
  • (c) the days left in the Qualification Window.

16.2 A Referrer doesn't see the Referred Member's email address, Qualifying Volume, Balance or transactions, or the reason a referral isn't eligible. We explain a reason only to the member it concerns.

16.3 If you accept these Referral Terms as a Referred Member, you agree that your Referrer can see the information in Section 16.1.

16.4 Our referral sign-up pages don't show who the Referrer is.

17. Changing or ending the Program

17.1 We may end the Program, stop recording new referrals, or change these Referral Terms at any time, by posting an updated version on this page with a new date.

17.2 A change applies only to referrals recorded after it takes effect. Referrals already recorded keep their Locked Terms and, if they qualify, are paid under them, subject to the eligibility, review and conduct rules in these Referral Terms. Ending the Program or stopping new referrals doesn't cancel any referral already recorded.

17.3 Changes to Bonus amounts, thresholds, the Qualification Window, the Clearing Period or the Program Period that apply only to future referrals take effect when posted; the notice period in Section 24.2 of the Terms of Service doesn't apply to them. For any other material change to a Referrer's obligations, we'll notify Referrers in the app and by email at least 30 days before the change applies.

18. No transfer

Referral Codes, Referral Links, referrals and Bonuses that haven't been credited are personal. They can't be sold, transferred, assigned or exchanged for cash or anything else. Once credited, a Bonus is part of your Balance, and the Terms of Service apply to it. The Program is void where the law prohibits it.

19. Questions and disputes

If you think a referral wasn't recorded correctly, Qualifying Volume was miscounted, or a decision was wrong, open a support ticket. We decide based on our ledger and system records, and we'll explain the basis of the decision to the member it concerns. Section 23 of the Terms of Service (talking to us first, individual arbitration, the small-claims option and the class waiver) governs any dispute about the Program.

20. Notice of Financial Incentive (California)

20.1 Summary. The Program is a financial incentive: $100 to a Referred Member whose cleared Qualifying Volume reaches $2,500 within the 90-day Qualification Window, and $100 to the Referrer if that Referred Member reaches $10,000 in the same window. California law treats a program like this as a financial incentive related to personal information, so this notice explains what information is involved and how we value it.

20.2 Material terms. Sections 1 through 19 of these Referral Terms.

20.3 Personal information involved.

  • Identifiers: name, email address, account ID, Referral Code, IP address, browser type (user agent), and a random device identifier stored in a cookie we set.
  • Customer records: the account-holder name and mailing address you give with your bank details for payouts, and a one-way fingerprint of your bank routing and account numbers. The fingerprint lets us tell whether two accounts use the same bank account without displaying or sharing the numbers.
  • Commercial information: your referral relationships, the ledger entries used to work out Qualifying Volume, and your Bonus records.
  • Internet or network activity: the Referral Link or code used, when and how the account was created, and the referral-link cookie. We count clicks on Referral Links only as daily totals for each code, without recording who clicked.
  • Tax information, only if you go over the annual limit in Section 10: the information on your Form W-9, including your taxpayer identification number. We use it only for tax reporting and backup withholding.
  • Shared with your Referrer, if you are a Referred Member: only the items listed in Section 16.1.
  • Optional: your answer to "How did you hear about us?".

We use this information to record referrals, work out Qualifying Volume, decide eligibility, prevent abuse, pay Bonuses and meet our tax obligations. We don't sell it, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

20.4 Value of the information and how we estimated it. We don't sell personal information and don't put a market price on it. As a good-faith estimate, we value the personal information processed in the Program at the value of the incentive itself: $100 for each Referred Member Bonus and $100 for each Referrer Bonus. We reached this estimate by looking at our expenses related to offering the incentive, namely the Bonus amounts we pay, which is one of the methods California's regulations allow (California Code of Regulations, title 11, section 7081). Because the Bonus equals that estimated value, the incentive is reasonably related to the value of the information.

20.5 How to opt in. As a Referrer, tick the box accepting these Referral Terms on the Referrals page. As a Referred Member, tick the separate referral box on our registration page, which appears only when a referral code applies and is not ticked in advance, or tick the box when you add a code on the Referrals page. Not taking part doesn't affect your membership or any other part of the Services.

20.6 How to withdraw. You can withdraw at any time by opening a support ticket titled "Leave referral program" or by emailing support@thebuyerforce.com.

  • If you withdraw as a Referrer, we remove your Referral Link, your Referral Code stops recording new referrals, and your Referrer Bonuses that haven't qualified yet end. Referrer Bonuses that had already qualified continue as described below. The people you referred keep their own chance at the Referred Member Bonus. If you later want to rejoin, open a support ticket; Bonuses that ended when you withdrew don't come back.
  • If you withdraw as a Referred Member, your referral ends and your Referrer no longer sees your stage. Bonuses for that referral that hadn't qualified yet, yours or your Referrer's, are not paid. The referral can't be moved to another Referrer.
  • Bonuses that had already qualified when you withdrew are still reviewed and, if approved, paid. This includes Bonuses held under Section 10, which are credited as Section 10.2 describes.
  • We keep the records we are required to keep for tax, fraud-prevention and legal reasons.
  • Withdrawing doesn't affect your membership.

20.7 Your rights. You can use your California privacy rights as described in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy. We won't discriminate against you for using them.
